Last batch of artwork from my lovely Year 5 and 6s. Congrats to the Year 6s on their upcoming graduation on Wednesday! I wish you a very colourful and creative future.
This is the place for students, parents, and teachers to find out what we have been creating in art class. I hope that these experiences will help students discover their personal artistic interests and become confident, capable learners. I have included pictures of student's artwork and basic explanations of the projects.

Year 4 Printing
Year 4s have been learning about printing this term. Year 4s learned about reduction print making and the results are fantastic. When I first explained the lesson, there were a lot of confused faces staring back at me, but we got there in the end. Well done Year 4s!
Year 3 Plasticine Art
Year 3s have been learning about layering this term. I could not think of a better way to finish off the year with a Barbara Reid inspired art piece. Barbara uses plasticine to illustrate her books and she is also a fellow Canadian!
Congratulations Year 3s for your effort and creativity in the art room this year! Your abilities inspire me to be a better art teacher!

Prep Still Life Flowers
An oldie, but a goodie! This is a lesson that I repeat each year with the Preps (I can't help myself).
Preps looked at real flowers and drew what they saw. They paid particular attention to the shapes and lines that they saw. After we used permanent markers to fill in some of the shapes within each flower and then used the tissue paper painting technique (I don't know the actual term).

Year 5 and 6 Pieces
2 weeks to go until the end of the year... and we are pumping out amazing pieces of art, faster than ever!!! Great effort, everyone
It was very sweet of this young lady to use a picture of me... |
I might hide this one, so it can stay in the art room forever! |
